Sometimes there is a cost to doing what you know is right. Many take the path of least resistence and find themselves at war with themselves, which is some ways more stressful.

relocating a downtown, long established congregation to a growing area three and a half miles away in a direction the town was moving. After the congregation voted to relocate to a thirty acre area, many had second thoughts and couldn't go along with the vote. The church lost 759 members that year, and a second church was established at the current location. Within one and a half years the attendance was back to where it was prior to the relocation. It was very stressful, but worth it.
